Lift Noise: Over 2 years without repaired

The Zonevideoz channel is about all the unnecessary problems we've been going through since becoming leaseholders back in 2001. There's been nothing but noise and disasters that could have easily been dealt with by the council. However, Lambeth council, The RMO, The Ombudsman and the MP Kate Hoey, have all allowed these oppressing residents to continue bombarding us with noise, Lambeth contractors to tear out excellent Everest windows just to install faulty ones and put cracks in our walls at the same time, and allowed the resident above to flood us and put cracks in the ceiling.

I've provided evidence to these firms and bodies, but they all believe it's not enough. We've invited them to come to investigate for themselves, but they choose not to. Even the Lift doesn't work properly as it makes heavy grinding and screeching noises as it travels through the shaft, but all believe it's not a health and safety issue. I suppose if a fire occurs because of it, all parties would probably deny any knowledge of the current problems with it. My advice to anyone is, never by Leasehold on a home that is in a block of flats. The chances are, you will be ignored by all these parties that are taking your hard-earned money through service charges and other charges that involve maintenance on the estate.

PLEASE READ THIS!

This letter was sent to us on the 31st May 2011. It suggest that we must be more understanding to their noise. This is obviously not possible. If you have a neighbour that makes noise and doesn't care who they disturb, then how can you come to an understanding.

The letter claims that an investigation took place by a member of the council, but the fact that we are still going through this problem, indicates that a thorough investigation has not taken place. If it did, this issue would have been resolved by now.

We have often wondered if the council are paying some of their tenants to make deliberate noise on the heads and at the door of Leaseholders. No one has ever been punished for the nuisance they've caused. And the RMO team keep changing their staff, then treat our case as a new complaint

Badly installed Double glazing windows under Lambeth

A number of issues have been ignored by companies working on behalf of Lambeth. One of them is URH(United Resident Housing). They sent out a company called GHR to install windows in the estate. However, much of it wasn't done right because one year on, and there is mould and mildew visible on the walls. Not only that, but they have not sealed around some of the windows with sealant. We've contacted URH and told them of the problem on numerous occassions (from last year til now), but they have ignored us and not taken the issue seriously. There are a number of other issues regarding these windows and URH themselves, but it'll take far too long to go through it all. The video below show images of the problems with the windows.

Water coming up through Bath-tub

We contacted the council numerous times about this as it presented a health and safety issues as other residents bath water was coming up through our bath and food coming up through the sink. However, we were told by our local RMO that it's wasn't there problem but ours. It was later revealed that it was their problem and the fault of their own ignorance that caused it.

Within a couple of months, the biggest disaster that we have ever witness in our home happened. This could have been prevented if those in the local council office took the time to investigate what was happening with the plumbing.

What lurks beneath the bath?
SHOCKING STUFF!

When we got flooded on July 17th 2009, the carpet had to be taken up, then we found out by an insurance company that the brown tile that were under the carpet, had Asbestos in them.
Eventually on November 17th 2009, those tiles were removed by specialist floor contractors. We were left with a dusty, grainy concrete floor to walk on. No further work were done on the floor until April 2010. The whole concrete floor was suppose to have a Latex screed, but was only patch in small areas. These four pictures show the result of the floor from the day the flood happened.
